Polish Heritage Society of Edmonton Scholarship
The Polish Heritage Society of Edmonton is pleased to announce the first annual Polish Heritage Society of Edmonton Scholarship, whose goal is to provide financial assistance to post-secondary students who are demonstrating, or have demonstrated, a commitment to the propagation, preservation, or celebration of Polish language, history, religion, culture, or traditions.
The Scholarship recognizes and rewards the outstanding academic as well as extracurricular achievements of Alberta post-secondary students and encourages them to continue in their undergraduate or advanced programs of study.
Scholarship Value: $5,000
Up to 10 of scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates meeting the selection criteria.

Eligibility
- are Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents of Canada.
- are Alberta residents:
- a person who has maintained permanent residence in Alberta for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately prior to attending a post-secondary institution, or
- a person whose parents or guardians have maintained permanent residence in Canada for 12 consecutive months immediately prior to commencing post- secondary studies and reside in Alberta, or
- a person who was married to an Alberta resident immediately prior to commencing post-secondary studies.
- are enrolled in programs at Alberta government approved provincial, national, or international universities, public colleges, or technical institutes.
- have a minimum 80% high school average mark (for recent high school graduates), or a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 for courses completed during the most recent two semesters of enrolment in a post secondary institution, and
- are demonstrating, or have demonstrated, a commitment to the propagation, preservation, or celebration of Polish language, history, religion, culture, or traditions.
